Nissaki is one of the most traditional and picturesque villages of Corfu, pleasantly located in the picturesque coves of the North East coast of Corfu. Nissaki in greek means “the little island” and the myth says that Nissaki was once a very small rocky island that local stonecutters used to prepare stone which was then transported with small boats to other parts of Corfu so people could build their houses.

Nissaki is about 20km away from Corfu Town and can be easily reached by a rental car so you can discover the natural beauty on display.

Today, Nissaki is a small village which is very popular with tourists and has evolved into a top holiday destination in Corfu. The beach at Nissaki is small and sandy but hosts lots of tavernas, sunbeams and umbrellas for hire. It is rarely crowded and the rocks lying on the sides make great but still safe playing areas for children and teens. There is also a ramp on to the beach that helps elder people to access it. The coast of Albania is just a breathe away and on clean sunny day you can even see people moving on the other side of the land! Further round the coast the blue flag beaches of Kaminaki and Krouzeri make up the final stretches of Nissaki.
